Welcome to Frankenreads@Vanderbilt!

Vanderbilt’s Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy and The Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries are pleased to take part in the NEH-funded initiative of the Keats-Shelley Association of America to honor the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus, featuring  readings of the full text of the novel on Halloween.

Vanderbilt is one of over 500 sites worldwide that are hosting celebrations of this important literary event. See the Frankenreads national website to learn about events occurring at other locations around the globe.

We have a number of exciting Vanderbilt-specific events planned through Halloween, including a writing contest, a play, and an all-day mobile, marathon reading of Frankenstein.
